Emiliano Croes

Emiliano Croes

Chairman

Emiliano Croes is a self-made entrepreneur who built his career from the ground up in the security industry, starting in 2005 and working every shift to master the craft. His hands-on journey began as an all three shifts security agent at a local high rise hotel, giving him an intimate understanding of frontline operations at every hour of the day. His first security gig was in 1985, High Winds period at Eagle Beach with SOS Company.

His dedication and skill quickly earned him recognition — in 2006–2007, he was ranked among the Top 5 security agents at the Aruba Oil Refinery, standing out from a field of 60 agents. He later served as Operations Supervisor for a third-party security company, sharpening his leadership and operational oversight capabilities.

In 2012, Emiliano founded his own security company, bringing together decades of field experience across Cash-in-Transit (CIT) operations, CCTV installations, event security and crowd control, and burglar & fire alarm system installations. His entrepreneurial vision has made him a trusted name in Aruba's security landscape.

Throughout his career, Emiliano has been deeply influenced by two key mentors — Aaron Antersijn and Sergio Wever — whose guidance helped shape his leadership philosophy and commitment to excellence in security services.

Fritz Thompson

Security Quality Assurance Manager & Trainer for Chameleon

Fritz is a seasoned security expert with over 30 years of experience in proactive security strategies, policy development, and operational implementation.

A certified Executive Protection agent, he has safeguarded celebrities and executives while leading security teams for private events and concerts. His strong interpersonal skills and expertise in conflict resolution make him a highly effective security professional.

As a licensed S.W.A.T. instructor, Fritz has trained protective agents extensively, ensuring operational excellence in high-risk environments.

In addition to his security expertise, he serves as a Fire Chief at a large refinery and holds a background in Fire Safety and Medical Science from Texas A&M University. As a Chameleon SQAM, he oversees the training and performance of security officers for clients in Aruba, reinforcing high-quality security standards.

Fritz is also a licensed EMT and a native of Aruba. He is fluent in Dutch, English, Spanish, and Papiamento.

Vanessa Hung

Vanessa has over 11 years of expertise in hospitality, safety and security, having held leadership roles at Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton Hotels.

As a former Director of Loss Prevention and Director of Operations, she led risk management initiatives, overseeing hotel and casino security, surveillance operations, and policy development.

Her expertise encompasses security training, risk assessments, and the implementation of advanced safety protocols to ensure operational resilience.

Beyond security operations, Vanessa brings expertise in Quality Assurance and Customer Satisfaction. In her role supporting clients across the Caribbean and Latin America, she drives operational excellence and enhances security practices, ensuring tailored solutions that meet regional needs.

Sergio Wever

Sergio Wever

Certified Instructor & Consultant

Sergio Wever is a highly experienced safety and security professional with over 45 years of service across fire fighting, emergency medical care, loss prevention, and security training in Aruba and the Caribbean.

He served as EMT/FireFighter at the Aruba Fire Department for nearly 16 years (1979–1995), before spending 17 years as Director of Loss Prevention, Safety & Risk Management at the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino (1995–2012).

As founder of Be Safe 4 Life Consultancy and a Managing Owner operating across the Caribbean since 2011, Sergio brings a comprehensive portfolio of certifications to FASSA's training programs.
